When Yasminah was born sleeping one thing that stuck with Rebecca was the lady who hands out the Bounty Bags walking straight past her room in the maternity ward. Rebecca had received a bounty bag when her first child was born. It was filled with items to celebrate the arrival of her child and help in her new journey as a parent.
But this time, like so many other families Rebecca and her husband were leaving the hospital with empty arms and nothing to show that they had just given birth to a beautiful baby girl. This is what prompted Rebecca to create Yasminah's Gift Of Hope in May 2010. Rebecca began by writing down her ideas on developing a similar 'Gift' like the Bounty Bag but for parents who like her had lost their child. Rebecca had always written in a journal at some stage in her life, through her journey trying to conceive and through each of her pregnancies including Yasminah's. The journals were the first inclusion. In October 2010 Yasminah's Gift Of Hope Support Pack was released.

Families deserve to be acknowledged, to know that someone cares about their situation and can understand what they are going through. No family should have empty arms.
